Chemical Cleaning

Chemical cleaning is a method to derive surfaces and walls of equipment, pipelines, vessels, kettles and heat exchangers of unwanted contaminants. Chemical cleaning also means the purification, conditioning, treatment or disinfection of water.

Pyrophoric Iron (FeS) Decontamination

Iron sulfide, and apparently many of its variations, can be quickly and efficiently created in a gas pipeline from the chemicals naturally available in many systems. Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) easily reacts with the iron in piping to form iron sulfide as in the formula:
H2S + Fe -> FeS + H2

Mercury (Hg) Decontamination

Mercury (Hg) decontamination process consists of two stages – (i) surface decon and (ii) full decon. The surface decon work and equipment setup can either be performed on a work vessel or onboard a platform; while the full decon work and equipment setup has to be done onshore at a well-equipped subcontractor’s warehouse facility.

NORM / LSA Decontamination

NORM / LSA decontamination process consist of two stages – (i) surface decon and (ii) full decon. The surface decon work and equipment setup can either be performed on work vessel at or onboard a platform by a licensed subcontractor; while the full decon work and equipment setup has to be done onshore within a well-equipped subcontractor’s warehouse facility. Fortunately for AP region the NORM / LSA readings are super low, hence only surface Decon is necessary.
